With the opening of the youth programs this summer, campers arrived to find an exciting new addition to the campground —a brand new pontoon boat!

The 40+ year old camp programs have been held at our own camp facility for the past 18 years with approximately 700 campers coming through each year. Our old metal boat, a hand-me-down from dear friends, had seen better days and was in desperate need of replacement.

We launched a fundraising campaign at the end of May, which was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Thanks to incredible support, by the time the first sessions began in mid-June, we were thrilled to have a new 18-foot pontoon boat purchased, registered, and ready at the camp waterfront!

Christened with the name of Lepanto, in honor of Our Lady’s great naval Rosary victory, the new boat has had a busy first season at the Montfort shores! Hundreds of campers have stepped aboard Lepanto for great fishing over the course of a few months!

Large or small, your contributions made the purchase of Lepanto possible. Thank you for ensuring that future campers can enjoy the wonderful experience of fishing.

God bless you all!
