New England is renowned for its stunning foliage, attracting visitors from across the country to experience its vibrant colors. Here at the monastery, October is just as colorful!

The school year is in full swing, and everyone has settled into their new classrooms in the spacious New IHM building. Although there are still tasks underway to complete the project, the space has already made a tremendous difference. You can check out some recent photos on the school’s website here.

Four Sisters attended the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh on October 3-5, soaking in enriching prayers and discussions, with Sister Mary Clair even speaking at the event! Find more details and photos on the Sisters’ site here.

On October 11, we held our annual Fall Bazaar, a significant fundraiser and community event that many local families look forward to each year. We are thankful to everyone who helped make it another great success! Enjoy photos from the event on the School site here.

The cold weather arrives quickly at our camp facility, so the Brothers have been finishing up some projects there before the snow falls. Some trees have been taken down, and a new fence has been installed around the basketball court. Meanwhile, the Sisters took day trips to prepare the buildings for winter. They made the most of Columbus Day weekend, doing some clean up and capturing memorable moments that can be seen on the Sisters’ site here.

The Brothers and men from our community made their annual climb of one of the White Mountains on October 18. Check out some photos on the Brothers’ site of their day conquering the Mount Lafayette, North Lincoln, and Little Haystack Loop.

On the afternoon of October 28, the marble statue of Our Lady Help of Christians was finally placed in the cupola of the new school building! She is currently covered in plastic until the interior of the cupola is completed, but she is a beautiful addition!

The final day of October brings out the Saints in great numbers, as IHM Elementary students dress up for the Saints’ Pageant and participate in an engaging Catechism bee on All Hallows’ Eve. It’s a colorful month filled with foliage, events, and cherished memories! Thank you for visiting!
