“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!” ~Matthew 21:9
On Palm Sunday, we were blessed to witness the blessing of the palms once again and to carry them in the procession, singing, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” On this sacred day, we followed Our Lord during His triumphant entry into Jerusalem and simultaneously began the holiest days of Holy Week.
We are pleased to open the doors of our monastery to the public for our Holy Week services here at Saint Benedict Center. The schedule is as follows:
THURSDAY, APRIL 17TH – HOLY THURSDAY. High Mass at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose.
FRIDAY, APRIL 18TH – GOOD FRIDAY. Reading of the Passion, Adoration of the Holy Cross, and the Mass of the Presanctified at 3:00 p.m.
SATURDAY, APRIL 19TH – HOLY SATURDAY. No morning Mass. Easter Vigil Ceremonies and Mass at 8:30 p.m.
SUNDAY, APRIL 20TH – EASTER SUNDAY. Regular Sunday Mass times: 7:00 a.m. Low Mass, 9:00 a.m. Sung Mass, and 11:00 a.m. Low Mass.
We wish all our family, friends, and benefactors a blessed and spiritually fruitful Holy Week. Our prayers are with you during these sacred days, and please keep us in yours.
