“Thou art the star of morning in God’s broad sky…” its not every day that you hear 90+ young girls (ages 10-15) singing a song like that first thing each morning! But at Morning Star Camp its the theme and foundation of this tremendously popular program.

Two weeks of camp at full capacity was still not enough to handle all the requests for admittance, but for those who attended one week or the other, it was an experience that will stay with them until next year… and their whole life.

Thanks to the Fraternity of Saint Peter, we were honored to have the newly ordained Father Daniel Heenan as our chaplain for the two weeks. Youth and enthusiasm always reach the young, but add to that great sermons and availability for confessions and conference and you will see why our camp chaplain was so popular.

Mass and Benediction are the real motivating force of the camp… and everything else just falls into place with joy! Catechism, arts & crafts, musical activities, boating, swimming, sailing, hiking, sports, archery, campfires… are what make up the well-balanced schedule of plain ol’ simple fun.

Special thanks to all those who helped make this mission possible, wether it was in a physical, monetary or spiritual way. You were prayed for daily.

May Our Lady Morning Star shine through each of our happy campers throughout the year!
