Today, on the feast of Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, the Brothers have launched their new website. The address is brothersmicm.com. The M.I.C.M. stands for Mancipia Immaculati Cordis Mariae , which is Latin for Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The title comes from today’s saint, whose treatise True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary explains and promotes Slavery to Mary—or Slavery to Jesus through Mary—as the best possible dedication and devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
Because “you cannot love what you do not know,” we are launching this website. On the site, you will learn what a Religious Brother is, the Vows he takes, what he does for God, the Church, and his neighbor.
Few today realize the value of God’s call to live the life of a Religious Brother.
Serving God as a Brother and Slave of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is an honor and great privilege. It is to be like Saint Joseph, who served Jesus and Mary. He was not a priest, bishop, cardinal, or Pope but answered God’s call, lived according to God’s will in the presence of Jesus and Mary, and now ranks first among the saints after Our Blessed Mother.
Our community is canonically recognized as a Public Association of the Christian faithful for “the glory of God, the perfection and salvation of its members through the spirituality of Saint Louis de Montfort, and the defense and propagation of the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church as authentically taught and defined by the Church’s teaching magisterium.”
