Each year, the vibrant autumn in New England reflects the feasts of the liturgical and climaxes with the feast of Christ the King!

All Saints Day

November 1st is always a joyous celebration at our monastery, filled with devotion and creativity. The school children eagerly participated in the All Saints Day pageant, vying for the winning portrayal of various Saints with imaginative costumes. The festivities continued into the following Sunday as we joined the All Saints procession at Saint John’s Parish, an impressive reminder of the Church Triumphant.

All Souls Day

As the celebrations faded, November 2nd brought a solemn shift in focus with the feast of All Souls. It is always a day marked by profound reflection and prayer for the Holy Souls and contemplation on the realities of Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell.

This year, our Holy Souls Offerings expanded the intentions of the Masses, adding hundreds of souls to our prayers. We fervently pray they find refreshment and eternal glory through the Holy Sacrifice and remember us in eternity.

The liturgical year, with its rhythm of celebration and contemplation, enriches our lives and deepens our awareness of time and eternity. It reminds us that while the journey may be challenging, the ultimate Goal is infinitely rewarding. All you Saints of God and Holy Souls, pray for us!
