Help us get a new fishing boat for camp!

Among the cherished activities at our summer youth programs, Morning Star Girls Camp and Montfort Boys Camp, fishing holds a special place. Each week, campers eagerly participate in friendly competitions such as “Who can catch the Biggest Fish?” and “Who can catch the Most Fish?”

However, our current fishing boat—a modest rowboat with a 6 horsepower motor and a capacity of 5—is no longer sufficient to accommodate the growing number of enthusiastic participants.

Imagine the scene: you’re standing on the shore, observing our overcrowded vessel as dedicated anglers patiently cast their lines, eagerly anticipating a bite. Suddenly, a triumphant cry rings out, “I got one! I got one!” Cheers fill the air, memories are forged, and tales are spun.

To enhance this experience for our campers, we aim to upgrade to a Pontoon Boat for the upcoming summer season. This spacious vessel offers a wide, stable deck perfect for fishing, along with safety features such as surrounding railings. With increased capacity, more campers will have the opportunity to enjoy this beloved pastime.

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and we believe that fathers and fishing often go hand in hand, creating happy memories. If you share our vision of promoting a joyful and safe fishing program at our camps, we kindly ask for your generous support. Your donation will directly contribute to the purchase of the new Pontoon Boat, enhancing the time spent at camp for countless young campers.

“If you teach a youth to fish, it may become an innocent pastime for life.” Together, let us do something positive for the next generation.

Thank you for considering our cause and for your ongoing support. May you be blessed abundantly for your generosity.
