The Christmas season is a time of gifts – and a time to be thankful for the great gifts that God has given us! We are always blessed to have the three Masses on Christmas in our IHM Chapel here at the monastery, and all the intentions submitted during the Advent appeal were present on the altar.
Greenery and lights welcomed the Infant King and all who came to adore Him – and witnessed the generosity of many people who donated them. Our short 2023 Christmas Video gives a look behind the scenes at all the decorating that takes place! The Chapel must be very dear to the Sacred Heart since someone always comes through to make it breathtaking for the big day.
A few days before Christmas, we received the new hard-bound edition of “True Devotion to Mary” which we have been working on! We have finally seen our dream come true, to publish our own edition in prayer-book size. The entire community received the first 30 copies on Christmas Day! They are now available for purchase in our shop here.
The annual “Wish Lists” for the Brothers and Sisters were posted early in December, and we were so grateful to the numerous donors who helped fill them!! Wow! There were plenty of packages to open and many wishes filled! Some items, such as the Sisters’ new mixer, didn’t wait until Christmas to be opened – there were cookies to make! A giant “Thank You” to our many wish list donors! The items you purchased will be so helpful in our active life here at the monastery and the camp programs! May God abundantly bless and reward you!
Aside from wish list gifts, and cookies and goodies delivered to the monastery, we loved seeing and displaying all the cards and wishes from family, friends, campers, and benefactors across the country and beyond! Our hearts are full of thanks and prayers for each of you and your intentions!
