On May 30th, Sister Marie-Jean Schildknecht, MICM, celebrated her 25th year of religious profession as a Slave of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The official celebration of the event took place on Saturday, June 2nd with a Sung Mass in honor of the Immaculate Heart and a festive luncheon with many of her family members who travelled from the New York area to be present. It was a festive event of enjoyable company, good food, speeches, musical entertainment and well-wishes.
Sister serves the community as a full-time high school educator at IHM School where she also supervises the students’ Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League and takes a leading role in organizing many Pro-Life events in the community.
