The feast of the Purification and Candlemas, February 2, 2016, was coupled with the acceptance of two new postulants this year.
Amanda (Katy) Hannon from Louisiana and Jennifer (Jenny) Brizek from New Jersey, received the habits of postulants and took their first step in the journey of religious formation toward becoming a vowed Sister, Slave of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Considering the beautiful feast, it was tremendously symbolic that they should be given the lighted candle of the Light of Christ as they left to don the habit. May the Light shine out to the dark world to show how radiant and joyful are the lives of the Brides of Christ!
Postulancy, a period of six months, will enable these young ladies to seriously discern their vocations while actually living the life. Please pray for their perseverance!
