July 11, 2012, marked the thirty-third anniversary of the death of Brother Hugh MacIsaac.

A truly dynamic man in size, spirit and spirituality, Brother Hugh was one of the original followers of Father Leonard Feeney, in the founding years of Saint Benedict Center, and is remembered as the Second Superior of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

His strong love and devotion to the Blessed Mother continues today in monastery here in Still River, where his remains in the IHM Cemetery are often visited by those who remember him.

Every anniversary of his death, the Brothers, Sisters, Third Order members and friends gather at his graveside to say the Rosary and pay tribute to the legacy he left behind through his hard labors.

May the banner of “To Jesus through Mary” which Brother Hugh carried so bravely, lead us in our journey to Eternity.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
