A Third Order of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was established in 1977 to provide the laity with an opportunity to participate in the community’s apostolic endeavors and benefit from its spiritual support.

The Third Order bases its fundamental unity with the religious on the spirituality of Saint Louis de Montfort set forth in his book, True Devotion to Mary.

The Third Order performs charitable works which include sending spiritual bouquets and Mass cards to those in need, providing meals for the sick, visiting the elderly in nursing homes to say the Rosary, sponsoring a Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, providing Scapulars, Rosaries and Catholic reading materials to those in prison, sponsoring novices in the underground Church in China, distributing the publications of the Religious, organizing a bus for students to attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C., praying at abortuaries and donating Rosaries for overseas Missions.

The spiritual responsibilities of the Third Order members include saying a daily five-decade Rosary, wearing the Brown Scapular and the Miraculous Medal.

These spiritual efforts are dedicated to sanctifying their own lives and furthering the apostolic and doctrinal crusade of Saint Benedict Center which includes defending the dogma of The One True Church and belief in the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus.
