MSC 2005...
Last year, 90 girls filled the silent woods of an old boy scout camp with their laughter, and talking. At night, with just the moon for a light, campers slept two in a tent on the wooded shores of the lake. There they met many new friends and new species of bugs in their rustic abodes! Tents were divided into two groups, teens and non-teens, with separate campfires. Thank goodness too, because if the little girls heard the loon on the lake they all would have packed their bags!
New activities were also added to our annual repertoire of Arts and Crafts, Music, Religion, Swimming and Sailing. The rope swing was a popular one along with Morning Star Dance Night, when all 90 girls did Caeli and line dancing as the sun set and night fell.Of course, there were also unplanned activities, like the ferocious thunderstorm that dazzled us with a panoramic view of Gods power, as we sat in the lodge trying to watch a movie! Then of course the meals were a wonderful event in themselves! A mountain of bread was donated by one of the families for the many sandwiches consumed!
All in all the week sped by too fast adding another gem of memories in the tradition of Morning Star.
