It didn't matter how they got there, but girls from across the country made sure they arrived at Montfort Retreat on the Sunday of July 15, for the long awaited opening of Morning Star Camp 2012.

A week with the Sisters and a five-star group of counselors, was the highlight of the summer for many of these campers.

Bunking in log cabins, with new friends and old, participating in games and activities, learning how to sail a boat with a Sister, or singing silly campfire songs… the lively groups of both sessions brought Montfort to life with the Morning Star spirit.

The schedule included daily Mass, cabin inspections, catechism class, arts & crafts, music, water activities, boating, hiking and a variety of games and special events.

Blessed with beautiful weather and an enthusiastic group of campers, the Morning Star shone once again in this totally Catholic and refreshing program.

We would like to thank especially, all those who helped in so many ways to make the two weeks of Morning Star Camp for Catholic Girls 2012 a truly stellar experience. May God bless you for your generosity!
