On Sunday, May 20, 2012, beloved friend and Third Order member of Saint Benedict Center, Mrs. Ann Cutress, passed to her eternal reward.

Ann was a daily Communicant here at the Center, and beloved librarian and nurse at IHM school for many, many years. She was an icon of faith to all the students over the years, and to all who knew her.
Mrs. Cuttress had a very accomplished background, having received her nursing training from the Grey Nuns of Ottowa, and served as a Navy nurse during the Second World War and on board the USS Haven hospital ship during the Korean War.
In her long career of nursing she touched the many lives – especially those of patients she served and new nurses she trained through the years. She renewed her nursing license, every year, keeping up on new techniques and was probably the oldest nurse in MA at the age of 90!
The indomitable and beautifully irish - "Mrs. Cutress" - will be sorely missed by the Brothers, Sister, faculty and families of Saint Benedict Center. May she rest in peace …and never be forgotten in your prayers.
