From the Housetops

his booklet is a quarterly magazine that was started in the early days of the Center when it was an apostolate to Harvard University in Cambridge. Once the Center moved to Harvard, MA, it took a hiatus until it was revived in 1975 by Brother Hugh Mac Isaac. Since then it has celebrated 35 years of continuous publication with a distribution of over 1 million copies. Each issue features the life of a Saint, with the intention of appealing to the modern reader, making holiness a living goal, attractive and attainable to the common man.

Other articles are gleaned from the timeless treasures of the Church, no longer available in print, or they are new articles written in an effort to evangelize. Many testimonials of conversions, and repentance have come from readers who have been touched by these stories, brought into their lives by the street ministry of the Slaves, who visit the working places and markets of the country, spreading the Good News.

All the work involved in producing the magazine is done on the monastery. From typesetting to actual printing and binding and mailing, it is a labor of love done by the hands of the religious.
